Summary

Come join our growing team today! HII-Mission Technologies Enterprise Transformation Branch is currently seeking a Technical Knowledge Management (KM) Strategist to support a U.S. Army customer. This is a new effort with a highly engaged Customer who is looking to leverage KM technology (e.g., DoD365) to enable shared understanding, process efficiency, and enhanced decision making. A successful candidate will possess both technical and strategic skills and have a passion for developing creative data, information, and knowledge solutions through intentional architecture of technology solutions.

This position will work with both the Sr. Knowledge Management Strategist and Sr. Technologist but must feel confident performing tasks (e.g., Interviews, Process Documentation, Requirements Gathering, Pilot Development) independently. The right candidate will have an understanding of business strategy and analysis, content and metadata best practices, process improvement/automation best practices, and software development lifecycle.

What You Will Do

  • Understand, review, analyze, and evaluate business needs.

  • Analyze functional requirements from business stakeholders.

  • Analyze content and/or systems to inform technical requirements.

  • Assist with development of technical solution architecture to maximize business outcomes and ROI for Customer.

  • Support Sr. KM Lead and Sr. Technologist with managing project timeline and ensuring the on-time submission of client deliverables.

  • Support the preparation and facilitation of client meetings, workshops, and focus groups with technical and non-technical audiences.

What We Are Looking For: Minimum Qualifications

  • 3 – 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 2 years relevant experience with Maters in related field

  • Familiarity of Knowledge Management best practices

  • Familiarity of Knowledge Management Technology solutions (e.g., Microsoft 365)

  • Comfort with serving in a client-facing role and presenting on camera or in-person.

  • Aptitude to quickly learn new skills and abilities on-the-job.

  • Ability to synthesis critical aspects of discovery for project team members.

  • Demonstrated experience facilitating engaging focus groups, interviews, and user research sessions to understand complex business and technical requirements which impact solution architecture.

  • Experience with gathering and elaborating business, functional, and technical requirements related to knowledge management technologies.

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance

Preferred: Bonus Points For

  • Knowledge of U.S. Army Acquisition / Financial Management

  • Knowledge Management Certifications/Degree (e.g., KM Institute, Columbia University’s MS Information and Knowledge Strategy)

  • Experience with DoD Microsoft 365 (SharePoint Online, PowerApps, PowerBI)

  • Project Management experience (PMP) a plus
