Who we are

HII Mission Technologies is currently seeking a Part-Time Compliance Paralegal in the Northern Virginia area. In this role you will Ensures MT Compliance Manager and Director of Compliance, and other compliance team members, have a thorough understanding of the regulatory environment, and supports the development of internal policies and procedures, advocacy materials, research as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures a comprehensive understanding of existing regulatory requirements and continuously monitors industry trends to anticipate the impact of new regulatory requirements in a country or globally.

  • Develops and maintains a network with key players influencing regulatory development worldwide. Incorporates new information back into company standard operating procedures, forms, and/or training materials.

  • Manages regulatory intelligence information to facilitate efficient use and re-use of information and analyses.

  • Review Teaming Agreements and Nondisclosure Agreements

  • Legal research and preparation of memoranda and other documents, as necessary, on a wide range of topics related to Government contracting, compliance, the Civil False Claims Act, and Government Ethics issues.

  • Attend meetings with the business units and outside counsel.

  • Support internal investigations and employment and other litigation.

  • Perform additional assignments as requested.

What you need to have:

  • 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years’ experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.

  • Previous internship experience.

  • Strong communication skills.
