• Position Specifics: Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil, Electrical, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering. Must be a US Citizen. Industry construction or facility maintenance experience required.

Responsibilities: This position supports the facilities department at Newport News Shipbuilding. Selected candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Waterfront Projects

  • Utilities group

  • Architectural Services

  • Technical Services

  • Buildings and Grounds

  • Manufacturing and Shops

  • Crane Programs

  • Plant Operations

Performs engineering functions in one or more of the following specialties: electronics, electrical, mechanical, civil, naval, and/or chemical.

Office, industrial or shipboard environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances. Lifting and moving of materials not to exceed the guidelines set for one man lift.
