External Job Description:

The selected individual will be required to repair and perform preventative maintenance on high voltage systems above 600 volts. Other duties include troubleshoot/repair electrical circuits, calibrate equipment, and interpret schematics in a complex industrial setting.

In addition, the selected individual will troubleshoot/repair electrical circuits, calibrate equipment, and interpret schematics. Other duties include rebuilding equipment, installing electronic controls, lighting maintenance and performing preventative maintenance. This job may also require you to perform crane electrical maintenance. Candidate should have completed basic electrical theory classes or possess a journeyman electrician’s license. Candidate should have a good driving record and be willing to become a qualified equipment operator (JLG, forklift, scissor-lift, etc.). Candidate will be expected to place high priorities on safety and quality-workmanship and be willing to obtain a thorough knowledge and understanding of the National Electric Code.

Individual must be able to lift minimum of 50 lbs and perform manual labor in an outdoor environment. Candidate must be able to work overtime and weekends as required by plant operations. This position requires the ability to understand oral and written instructions.

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong skills in troubleshooting and repairing electrical/electronic equipment are required. Qualified candidates must possess 4+ years’ experience as an industrial maintenance electrician/technician. All applicants must be physically capable of climbing vertical ladders and working at moderate heights. Knowledge in the following areas is preferred; High Voltage cable splicing and terminating, SCADA system maintenance, secondary and primary breaker maintenance and repair, generator and automatic transfer maintenance and repair.
