Job Description

HII is seeking an Assured Compliance Assessment Solutions (ACAS) System Administrator to support the Navy Continuous Training Environment (NCTE). The candidate selected must have excellent knowledge in general systems administration and network architectures as well as experience supporting and maintaining medium to large scale ACAS implementations. The ACAS Sysadmin will work for the System Support division lead and will work in conjunction with the ACAS Engineer for all technical changes, upgrades or modifications. The ACAS architecture for each network will be meticulously diagrammed and documented for configuration management purposes. The ACAS Sysadmin will maintain and sustain ACAS Security Centers and Scanners using Government supplied hardware and software. The ACAS Sysadmin will upgrade Security Centers and Scanners to the most recent software versions as they are approved and released by the DISA ACAS Program.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• 5 + years of experience in systems administration in either a Microsoft Windows or RedHat Enterprise Linux environment with 2 years of experience working with ACAS

• Must possess a thorough understanding of all aspects of ACAS operations and technologies.

• Must be able to multitask and work well under pressure.

• Must stay abreast of industry developments and applicable Government regulations.

• Must be able to perform audits, operational analysis and risk assessments.

• Must be capable of researching and developing proposals for recommended service enhancements.

• Researches operational issues and providing mitigation recommendations

• Be able to develop local policies and procedures that align with DoD and DoN policies and industry best practices.

• Must be able to develop standard operating procedures and architecture diagrams.

• Needs strong oral and written communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent judgment and self-motivation.

• Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II

• Operating System certification (RedHat or Windows)

• Must be a US citizen, currently hold and able to maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

Minimum Qualifications

3 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 1 year relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 7 years relevant experience.

Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience for positions involving new technology or labor market shortages as reflected by market survey data.

Preferred Requirements

Works independently with little to no supervision researching new technologies or comparing technologies to meet the customers need while providing an unbiased opinion.
