Job Description

HII Mission Technologies Division is seeking an ISSM in support of a large Operations and Maintenance Contract within Mission Technologies.

Positions will be based at global Army training site in Orlando, FL. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  1. Security Program Leadership and Strategy:

o Develop, implement, and continuously enhance a comprehensive Information Systems Security Program aligned with DoD, U.S. Army, and NIST guidelines

o Conduct regular security audits, risk assessments, and vulnerability analyses to identify and mitigate potential threats and ensure ongoing compliance

o Collaborate with senior management to define and execute strategic cybersecurity initiatives that support business objectives

  1. Compliance and Risk Management:

o Ensure all information systems adhere to the Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements and maintain necessary accreditations and certifications

o Develop, maintain, and regularly update critical documentation, including the System Security Plan (SSP), Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M), and other relevant artifacts

o Partner with the Designated Approving Authority (DAA) to secure system authorizations and manage risk effectively

  1. Incident Response and Crisis Management:

o Lead and coordinate responses to cybersecurity incidents, ensuring timely investigation, containment, and remediation

o Continuously refine incident response plans, procedures, and playbooks to enhance organizational resilience and minimize impact

o Conduct thorough post-incident reviews and implement lessons learned to prevent future occurrences

  1. Security Awareness and Training:

o Design and deliver engaging cybersecurity training and awareness programs to educate personnel on security best practices and policies

o Foster a culture of security mindfulness, encouraging proactive identification and reporting of potential risks or vulnerabilities

o Collaborate with HR and other departments to integrate security awareness into employee onboarding and ongoing development

  1. Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:

o Serve as the primary liaison for cybersecurity matters, effectively communicating with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, auditors, and regulatory bodies

o Provide regular, insightful reports and briefings on the cybersecurity program's status, key metrics, and strategic initiatives

o Build strong relationships with business units to understand their security needs and align cybersecurity efforts accordingly

  1. Leadership and Team Development:

o Lead, motivate, and mentor a high-performing team of cybersecurity professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement

o Stay at the forefront of emerging cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies, and guide the team in adapting and implementing cutting-edge solutions

Minimum Qualifications

o Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Master's degree preferred

o Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in information systems security, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role

o Proven track record of successfully implementing and managing cybersecurity programs in a DoD or U.S. Army environment.

Preferred Requirements

o CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) certification required

o Additional relevant certifications, such as CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor), or CAP (Certified Authorization Professional), strongly preferred

• Technical Skills:

o Deep expertise in RMF, NIST SP 800-53, and other relevant cybersecurity frameworks and standards

o Extensive hands-on experience with a wide range of security tools and technologies, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection

o Strong understanding of network security, encryption, access control, and cloud security principles

• Soft Skills:

o Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels

o Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with a talent for simplifying complex issues and driving practical solutions

o Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop high-performing teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Security Clearance:

• Must possess and maintain an active DoD Top Secret security clearance, with SCI eligibility
