This opportunity resides with Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. Who We Are

HII-Mission Technologies is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing functional technical expertise to the development and integration of DIU-NSIN-developed capabilities into Mission Partner environments. The Electrical Engineer will also be responsible for providing electrical engineering oversight to academia and innovation developers in the development of technical solutions and supporting documentation, as well as researching, designing, developing, and testing a variety of electronic equipment and systems, including radar and radiation detection equipment, power electronics, and communications equipment and systems.

We will have several opportunities based in multiple locations to include Jacksonville, FL, Pax River, MD, & Crane, IN, remote schedules may be available.

This role is to support the upcoming proposal: Logistics, ISR, and Next-Gen Technology (LOGIX) TO focuses on ILS to support as envisioned by the JADC2 Strategy of moving to joint/combined capability development. The LOGIX TO will also support the JADC2 goal to deliver a relevant information advantage with ISR operations and logistics support. To support continued progress and sustainment of the JADC2 Strategy, the LOGIX TO support the accelerated application of technological solutions by analyzing new and emerging technologies for DIU-NSIN Mission Partner systems, technologies, capabilities, platforms, equipment, and associated subordinate and supporting systems used to execute their missions.

What You Will Do

  • Provide functional technical expertise to the development and integration of DIU-NSIN-developed capabilities into Mission Partner environments.

  • Provide electrical engineering expertise to requirements definition, design, development, integration, prototyping, testing, and production support.

  • Provide electrical engineering oversight to academia and innovation developers in the development of technical solutions and supporting documentation.

  • Research, design, develop, and test a variety of electronic equipment and systems, including radar and radiation detection equipment, power electronics, and communications equipment and systems.

What We Are Looking For

  • 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree or 3 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree.

  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and practices.

  • Experience in requirements definition, design, development, integration, prototyping, testing, and production support.

  • Knowledge of radar and radiation detection equipment, power electronics, and communications equipment and systems.

  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with other engineering disciplines.

  • Clearance: Must possess and maintain a Secret level clearance.

Preferred: Bonus Points For...

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

  • Professional Engineering License

  • Familiarity with DAU SETR Process and DoD Aviation Platforms
