What you will be doing!

HII Unmanned Systems is seeking an experienced professional to join our team! As our new Quality Analyst you would be responsible for assisting in managing a wide variety of sub-supplier and have experience in supplier quality requirements and expectations. You will be required travel to various suppliers to inspect parts in process or completed as a source inspector to ensure compliance.

The ideal candidate should have experience in process inspections and receiving (incoming) material inspections in accordance with drawing, manufacturing order, and purchase order requirements. Preferably you will have root cause/corrective action analysis expertise to assist suppliers in helping understand issues discovered, determine causes, and establish effective corrective actions. Good written and verbal communication skills and computer skills is needed for this role.

This position is a 1st shift position and onsite in Pocasset, Mass, plus some travel, mainly in the New England area, teleworking is not available.

Develop and implement program quality plans, programs, and procedures using statistical quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses. Ensures that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards. Reviews, analyzes and reports on quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical and electro-mechanical systems. Investigates problems and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies. Interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met. Recommends corrective actions, dispositions and modifications.

What we are looking for...

  • 6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a government clearance. #LI-MH1

  • Candidate should have experience with managing suppliers focused on Supplier Quality. The candidate will be required to interface with suppliers and ensure material is received in accordance with the Purchase Order requirements and on time.

Bonus Points for...

  • Must have experience and demonstrate proficiency using calibrated measuring and test equipment.

  • Experience with inspection and handling of electronic equipment and manufacturing methods.

Physical Requirements

Office, industrial or shipboard environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances. Lifting and moving of materials not to exceed the guidelines set for one man lift.
