Job Description

The Due Diligence (DD) and Risk Management Analyst SME at HII Mission Technologies Division plays a vital role in enhancing our security posture and operational effectiveness through expert analysis and strategic due diligence. This position requires a deep understanding of military operations, intelligence, and risk management principles to assess and mitigate risks comprehensively. The ideal candidate will operate in a Joint or DoD-unique environment and provide critical support to our national, DoD, and intelligence community partners.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth technically focused due diligence assessments concentrating on systems, processes, and supply chain risks to ensure their integrity and protection against unauthorized intrusions.

  • Advise and assist in the development of agile solutions consisting of mitigation strategies for all aspects of risk management.

  • Provide expert analysis on virtualized identity management methodologies, utilizing knowledge of digital behaviors and operational validity assessments.

  • Lead sensitive projects involving complex systems analysis and synthesis to meet urgent operational needs of the command.

  • Develop and maintain risk management plans, applying knowledge from military/civil service experiences to solve current and future mission needs.

  • Act as a senior subject matter expert, providing direction, training, and advice to project staff on risk and identity management best practices.

  • Establish and monitor standards for the quality of programs and documents.

  • Assures quality control throughout all contract activities.

  • Demonstrate superior writing and presentation skills to develop briefings, documents, papers, and conceptual, and analytical reports for clients.

  • Maintain and comply with security procedures in the performance of duties.

  • Collaborate closely with Combatant Command (CCMD) program staff and other military organizations, participating in working groups, readiness exercises, and analytical activities.

  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 8+ years of intelligence, risk management, or identity management experience; experience may be substituted for education.

  • Extensive experience in the Intelligence Community, CCMDs (J2X/3X; G2X/G3X; A2X/A3X/ N2X/N3X), Counterintelligence / HUMINT / Special Operations Forces Intelligence, or similar roles.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications and familiarity with current DoD policies on DD.

  • Knowledge of various DoD open sources OSINT / PAI, digital behaviors, and common platform databases used in one or more CCMD AORs

  • MUST possess a current TS security clearance with SCI eligibility.

  • US citizenship required.

  • Ability to travel within the continental US and OCONUS locations as required.

Preferred Requirements

  • Completion of Advanced Technicians Course (ATC), Advanced Planners Course (APC), Due Diligence Course (DDC), or similar specialized training.

  • Experience in Surveillance Detection Route (SDR) and Counter-surveillance planning.

  • DoD or military service special agent credentialing course

  • DoD or military service intelligence analyst producing course

  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to develop briefings, documents, and analytical reports for clients.

Physical Requirements

May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
